LFPL’s Storybook Halloween event for kids is this Friday eveningOnce Upon A Time: A Storybook Halloween

Join us after hours this Friday, October 16 at the Main Library for our annual Halloween event for children and families – Once Upon A Time! There will be lots of stories, games, and crafts, including special performances by StageOne Storytellers, activities with the Little Loomhouse, the Frazier History Museum, the Kentucky Science Center, and more.

Plus, the first 500 families will receive a free copy of the book The Biggest Pumpkin Ever, courtesy of Junior League of Louisville.

Once Upon A Time is from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Main Library and is free for children and families. For more information, call (502) 574-1620.

Clearing the Air: How the Ohio River Valley Affects Our HealthClearing the Air Fast Class

Just because we live in the Ohio River Valley doesn’t mean we are destined to be on the list of “Worst Places to Live With Asthma” forever. This fast class will explain connections between geography and health, and will discuss links between air quality and asthma, air pollution, what you can do to protect your health, and what Louisville is doing to help clean up our air.
