November News

First and foremost, I want to remind everyone that our monthly meeting is a little bit different in November – instead of having a business meeting at the library, we will be meeting at the firehouse (501 W. Ashland) for a chili supper and BNA elections. That’s November 20, so mark your calendars!

It starts at 6:00 PM, and dinner is served at 6:30. The “meeting” portion of the event will follow at 7 PM with elections.

This annual event gives BNA members an opportunity to: 1.) be introduced to serving board members, 2.) learn what together we have accomplished over the previous year, 3.) meet new board member nominees, and 4.) lend your individual voice as to who you think should serve on the board for the upcoming year.

Secondly, I need to point out the great work that the BNA’s Beautification Committee has done at the gazebo. A few board members, along with some neighborhood volunteers, have been working on landscaping, and it is looking great! I saw them out there myself Saturday morning while they were hard at work.

Finally, Olmsted Parks is searching for volunteers! If you like to see transformations like the lovely work at the gazebo, go lend a hand on December 9 at Iroquois Park. Here’s everything you need to know:

I’m off to another Festival of Flowers meeting tonight – we’re working hard all year long for this big event! Hope to see you all at the chili supper on the 20th!
