Festival of Flowers
Saturday, May 14th, 2016
From 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
On historic Southern Parkway at Woodlawn
In the heart of Beechmont
GUIDELINES FOR THE FESTIVAL
Following is the procedure for the day:
SET-UP: 4 – 8 pm Fri. & 7-9:00am Sat. We will have security Friday from 8:00 pm-8:00 am Vendors are responsible for providing their own tables, chairs and/or tents. Tents are advised.
BOOTH AREA: Each vendor will be provided a 10’ x 10’ space. Please sign-in at the BNA “sign-in” table, which you can identify by the balloons. Verification of your fee payment will be made and you will be shown your booth location. Rates are listed below. No set up without registration. Please advise if you need an electrical source. We have limited outlets.
RAIN DATE: No rain date. We will be there rain or shine.
REFUNDS: We require a 2-week notice for a refund.
SALE ITEMS: No Flea Market or Yard Sale items will be permitted. Beechmont Neighborhood Association will be selling plants and herbs. If you wish to sell any kind of live plants, you must first contact BNA for information. BNA will be selling many live plants. To maximize profits for all, it is necessary to coordinate flower sales. Contact Linda Guss by phone 777-1174 or email email@example.com to discuss the type of flowers you want to sell.
LOCATION: We will be on the West side of Southern Parkway, south of Woodlawn, at the Gazebo. The Festival will extend south on the Parkway in the 4700 block and west on the south side of Woodlawn to the alley if needed.
UNLOADING: You may unload from Woodlawn Avenue or ideally from the L&N Credit Union parking lot Friday evening.
NOTE: No loading or unloading from L&N Credit Union after 8:30 am Saturday. In addition, parking is available at the PNC Bank at the corner of Woodlawn and Southern Parkway.
BREAKDOWN: Each participant will be responsible for cleaning the area in and around their space when the event is over.
FEES: . $35.00 per space if paid by April 24, 2016, $40.00 per space if paid after April 24, 2016
We will have music and pertinent entertainment, as well as great demonstrations of crafts that draw from the garden, and many other special features that you, yourself may find interesting and that certainly draw the people who can appreciate your work. Food and drink will be for sale all during the event.
This event will be published in the Courier-Journal and other publications in this area as well as the Louisville Metro Government calendar and our Facebook page within the metro area. Notices will be sent to radio and TV. Posters and handbills will be circulated Come join us!
