Cliff Park Rain Garden-Butterfly Habitat Coming Soon

download
Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) plans to install a rain garden in Cliff Park at the foot bridge near S. Rutland Ave this coming spring. Beechmont Neighborhood Association recommended a flowering plant selection specifically geared to attracting an entire network of bees, birds, and butterflies and support our local biodiversity. Many butterfly species, including Monarch Butterflies depend on native plants to sustain them on their migration journey. This will be a wonderful way our neighborhood can contribute to meeting the needs of these beloved critters. This project is part of BNA Beautification Committee efforts. If you are interested in creating your own Rain Garden-Butterfly Habitat you can get more information at http://www.msdlouky.org. There should be plenty of native plants available for purchase at our Annual Festival of Flowers, scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at the Gazebo on Woodlawn.
