Brush Bottle and Barrel of the Bluegrass – Fundraiser for Legal Aid

LOUISVILLE—The Legal Aid Society will hold its signature fundraising event, the Brush, Bottle, and Barrel of the Bluegrass, this Friday, April 25th, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Mary Rodes Lannert Athletic Center at Louisville Collegiate School.  Collegiate is located at 2427 Glenmary Avenue.

This is the eleventh year for the Brush, Bottle and Barrel event.  In 2013, more than 550 people attended and raised more than $40,000 for Legal Aid.

The Brush, Bottle and Barrel of the Bluegrass is a preview party for the Cherokee Triangle Art Fair.  Nine select artists who participate in the Cherokee Triangle Art Fair will be on hand to display and sell their art in advance of the Fair.

The event also features tastings of Kentucky wines, bourbons, and beers.  Vendors attending this year’s event include Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Company, Barton 1792, Bluegrass Brewing Company, Broad Run Vineyards, Brooks Hill Winery, Buffalo Trace, Elk Creek Vineyards, Falls City Beer, Four Roses, Old 502 Winery, and Wight-Meyer Vineyard and Winery.

Tickets are $75 and may be purchased at the door.  Free valet parking is available.  The event is wheelchair accessible.

Legal Aid is a non-profit organization that provides civil legal assistance to families and individuals in poverty in 15 counties in Kentucky.  It is the only organization in Louisville and the surrounding counties that provides legal services free of charge.  Clients turn to Legal Aid for civil legal problems that threaten their physical and economic well-being.  Those assisted include the elderly, children, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable groups.

Last year, the Legal Aid Society helped nearly 4,000 people who had nowhere else to turn.
