LOUISVILLE, KY—The Legal Aid Society announces dates for free legal clinics offered during the month of April. 

 

 

WHAT:                          FORECLOSURE CLINIC

WHEN:                         Thursday, April 11, at 4:00 PM

WHERE:                       Legal Aid Society office (416 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.)

PURPOSE:                   Attorneys will be on hand to answer questions about foreclosures and provide advice on alternatives to foreclosure.

RSVP:                          Call Legal Aid at (502) 584-1254 to make a reservation.

 

 

WHAT:                          ASK-A-LAWYER CLINIC

WHEN:                         Friday, April 12, at 1:00 PM

WHERE:                       Louisville Free Public Library Bon Air Branch (2816 Del Rio Place)

PURPOSE:                   A Legal Aid advocate will be available for individual consultation about civil legal problems and how to apply for Legal Aid services.

RSVP:                          No appointment is necessary.  First come, first served.

WHEN:                         Monday, April 15, at 1:00 PM

WHERE:                       South Louisville Community Ministries (4803 Southside Dr.)

PURPOSE:                   A Legal Aid advocate will be available for individual consultation about civil legal problems and how to apply for Legal Aid services.

WHAT:                          EXPUNGEMENT CLINIC

WHEN:                         Tuesday, April 23, at 2:00 PM

WHERE:                       Louisville Free Public Library Main Branch (301 York St.)

PURPOSE:                   An attorney will be on hand to discuss the expungement process and which charges can be expunged.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of their criminal record which shows the disposition of each case.  A copy of the record may be obtained from Court Archives located in the basement of the Old Jail Building at 514 West Liberty Street in Louisville.

WHAT:                          ASK-A-LAWYER CLINIC

WHEN:                         Wednesday, April 24, at 10:00 AM

WHERE:                       Ministries United South Central Louisville (1207 Hart Ave.)

PURPOSE:                   A Legal Aid advocate will be available for individual consultation about civil legal problems and how to apply for Legal Aid services.

RSVP:                          No appointment is necessary.  First come, first served. 

 

 

WHAT:                          DIVORCE CLINIC

WHEN:                         Wednesday, April 24, at 10:00 AM

WHERE:                       Legal Aid Society office (416 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.)

PURPOSE:                   Clients will receive assistance from attorneys in filling out all of the necessary paperwork to file for a divorce.

RSVP:                          Call Legal Aid at (502) 584-1254 to make a reservation.

 

 

WHAT:                          SMALL CLAIMS CLINIC

WHEN:                         Wednesday, April 24, at 2:00 PM

WHERE:                       Legal Aid Society office (416 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.)

PURPOSE:                   Clients are provided with the forms necessary to file a claim, and an attorney will review completed claims.

RSVP:                          Call Legal Aid at (502) 584-1254 to make a reservation.
