Americana World Festival Poster and T-Shirt Design Competition!

March 15, 2013: Show off your creative side by submitting a design for the 23rd Annual Americana World Festival. The festival is one day event that will be held Saturday, June 1 from 11:00 a.m. -9:00 p.m. at Iroquois Amphitheater. This is the first time in the festival’s history it will be held at Iroquois Amphitheater in Iroquois Park. The winning design will be reproduced on festival T-shirts and promotional posters for this year’s event.

This unique festival celebrates our community’s diversity and is enjoyable for the whole family. Entertainment this year will include local favorites AppalatinThe Monarchs, and all-lawyer band 100% Legal. Other activities include a Kids’ Zone, food & beverage vendors, International crafts and other goods available for purchase from local artists and vendors, and several community organizations and nonprofits will be on-hand.

There will also be a raffle for prizes from several area businesses. The raffle grand prize will be $500 cash. Raffle tickets cost $1 each and can be purchased in advance at participating ValuMarket locations and at the festival on the day of the event at the Americana booth.

Americana World Festival 2013 will be brought to you by Americana Community Center, with the generous support of YUM! Brands, Transit Authority of River City (TARC), Fifth Third Bank, and ValuMarket.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Design should be approximately 8.5 x 11 and easy to enlarge
  • JPGS not recommended but will be accepted
  • Electronic submissions preferred as  .PDF or .AI
  • It should be easy to reproduce in color or b/w, and reflect the energy and diversity of our community
  • Must include enough space to include names of performers and sponsors as they are added
  • The text: “23rd Annual Americana World Festival: Where Louisville Meets the World!” must be included
  • Americana Community Center name & logo must be included
