Have an older home that needs some attention?

Looking to live in or own a building in a preservation district?

Want to learn more about how the Louisville Landmarks and Preservation Districts Commission Staff can help you?

In this workshop participants will learn what the recommendations are when planning a rehabilitation project. Members of the Landmarks Commission staff will be available to answer questions about appropriate historic materials, design, and rehabilitation guidelines for historic properties in both older neighborhoods and in the Metro Preservation Districts. This workshop is not only for those currently living in landmarks or preservation districts, but would be beneficial for anyone with an older home or business building, or those looking to move into or open a business in a preservation district.

Cynthia E. Johnson, a Historic Preservation Officer from the Department of Codes & Regulations will join us to help run this workshop. For more information about the Louisville’s Historic Landmarks and Preservation Disctricts commission click here!

Louisville’s preservation districts include: Butchertown, Cherokee Triangle, Clifton, Limerick, Old Louisville, Parkland, and West Main Street.

ADMISSION: $20 for Preservation Louisville members; $30 for non-members

This is a hands-on, active learning workshop and class size is limited.

Advance registration is required!
