MLK Day – Volunteer at Beechmont Community Center Spruce Up

Volunteers from Home Depot will be joining us next Monday on Martin Luther King Day to help lend a helping hand in Beechmont Community Center. We wanted to extend the invitation to folks in the neighborhood to join us between 5am-12pm to see the improvements and partake in the following activities:
Replace both bathroom floors upstairs.
Painting the game room and the library.
Replacing the blinds in the library and the non working ceiling fan in the game room.
Replacing some bad ceiling tiles.
Hanging a curtain bracket in the restrooms.

Thanks for all the work you do in the neighborhood and any volunteer support you would like to give us on Monday.
Thanks again,
Andrew Brooks

Crime Maps – 12-31-11 – 1-7-12

We are having an issue with daytime burglaries in Southern Heights. They are kicking in basement doors for entry. Please have the residents be on the lookout for any suspicious persons in the area north of Woodlawn and west of 6th Street!
